Harefield Academy Campus

The Harefield Academy is home to a unique and exciting partnership with Wealdstone FC, giving students the chance to study towards BTEC Sport or A-Levels while training in an intensive Academy-style football programme. Entry is open to students entering Year 12 at age 16.

Courses we offer:

Two BTEC pathways sit at the heart of the offer. The BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport is designed for players developing their ability to an elite level, with most students pairing it with an A-Level to strengthen their academic profile and point score ahead of university applications. For those with sights set firmly on a career in sport, the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sport is a full-time, two-year course equivalent to three A-Levels, built to lead towards graduate-level employment in the sports industry. Both pathways run over two years and are open to students aged 16 to 18. Both require five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, and students yet to pass English or Maths will study one or both subjects alongside their main qualification, with extra support built in throughout.

Alongside the BTEC routes, a wide range of A-Levels is also available, each leading towards university, further study, training or work. Every player at the Academy studies and trains side by side, meaning they leave with genuine qualifications and every opportunity to continue their education, whichever direction their football career takes. Entry requirements vary by subject, and, as with the BTEC courses, A-Level study runs over two years for students aged 16 to 18.

Getting to Harefield is straightforward. The Academy sits on Northwood Way in Harefield, Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB9 6ET. The 331 bus runs directly past the site, linking Ruislip, Northwood, Denham, Uxbridge and Harefield, and connects with several nearby stations, including Northwood and Ruislip Underground stations, Denham Rail Station and Uxbridge Underground Station.

Whether a student is chasing a professional football career or building towards university, the Harefield Academy offers a platform to do both at once, developing on the pitch while keeping every academic door open. Training alongside like-minded, ambitious teammates, students benefit from a squad culture built on discipline, support and shared goals, both on the pitch and in the classroom.
